Jeffrey Robinson, 哥伦比亚大学管理学博士，美国罗格斯大学副教授，博士生导师。主要研究方向：创业创新，城市经济发展，创业领导力，社会创业。长期关注城市生态、战略、商业和社会问题，制度理论，城市招聘战略。
迄今已在《Journal of Social Entrepreneurship》、《International Journal of Entrepreneurship》、《Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship》、《Business and Society》、《American Journal of Sociology》等刊物上发表论文。 Jeffrey Robinson 博士曾获得商学院优秀教授、国际优秀研究者和创业者等表彰。从2008年开始，他就带领罗格斯大学商学院的研究人员，专注创业创新的研究。是罗格斯大学商学院城市经济和创业中心的主任。
ABSTRACT: Entrepreneurship is a vehicle for the pursuit of opportunities. These opportunities are often thought of as opportunities to create wealth, jobs, and financial gain. However, entrepreneurship can also be used to pursue opportunities to solve problems in our villages, neighborhoods and cities. Social entrepreneurs solve societal problems. They use entrepreneurship to create organizations and businesses that change the lives of their fellow citizens and address difficult problems using innovative methods. In this lecture, Professor Robinson will present lessons he has learned from social entrepreneurs from around the world and give advice to people who want to become a social entrepreneur in China.

创业是获得和抓取社会机会的重要方式。这些社会机会通常被认为会创造财富、工作和物资收获。但是，创业同时可以被用来发觉机会，用以解决我们的农村、社区和城市所存在的各种问题。社会创业家可以有效解决社会面临的各种问题。他们通过社会创业来建立组织和商业，并且以此来改变跟随他们的公民的生活和运用创新的方法来解决社会上存在的疑难杂症。在本讲座中，Robinson教授会把他在全世界范围内对社会创业研究中的成果向大家阐述，同时给那些想在中国实施社会创业的人们给予意见。
